FullStop™ Assembly

The following photographs show how to assemble a FullStop™
Start by assembling all the parts plus a container of very hot water (not boiling).
Warm the end of the fexible water sampling tube by holding it in the hot water for a few seconds.
The warm tube should slip easily over the barbed outlet at the bottom of the base.
The base, top and extension tubes fit together with standard bayonet irrigation fittings.
Take the locking ring and slip it over the female (short) end of one of the extension tubes.
Joining the first extension tube to the base requires a very firm push followed by a twist. These two parts lock the funnel into place and make the assembly watertight. Before starting get a feel for how the base and first extension pieces fit together without the red funnel.
Start by warming the ends that will be joined.
Once warm it should be relatively easy to push the base piece into the end of the extension tube. Twist until the join is fully locked.
Try this a couple of times without the funnel.
When you are comfortable with joining the base to the first extension piece undo them ready for final assembly of the funnel. If necessary re-heat the ends.
Push the base firmly into the small end of the funnel.
Put the first extension tube complete with locking ring into the large end of the funnel.
Push the base and extension tube together so that they fully engage.
Then firmly twist to lock the funnel in place and seal the end so that it is watertight.
This part of the process can be hard to do if the ends of the bayonet are not warm enough.
Add the second extension tube to the end of the first one.
The SMALL float is the FIRST one to be dropped into the extension tubes.
Followed by the two longer floats.
NOTE*
If you need to disassemble the FullStop™, always remove the floats before undoing the extension tubes to prevent them from breaking.
Should a float break, the detector will still work as long as floats are continuous from the base to the indicator.
Finally attach the indicator cap to the top extension tube.
The detector is now fully assembled.
Test each detector for leaks after it has been assembled by pouring some water into the funnel, with the black tube held upright to ensure water does not escape. The red indicator will then rise and be held up by a magnet. Let the water out via the black tube and tap the indicator gently down to release the magnetic 'latch'.
The supplied filter sand MUST NOT be added until you are ready to install the detector.
