G-P Wheel Hoe Assembly

First of all identify and check that you have all the parts:
1 - Chassis
1 - Wheel
2 - Forks (wheel supports)
2 - Handle brackets (rectangular)
4 - Handle tubes with two inserts
1 - plastic bag containing:
4 - 6x35 mm bolts
6 - 10x20 mm bolts
4 - 6 mm nyloc nuts
6 - 10x20 mm nuts
4 - 6 mm washers
6 - 10 mm washers
1 - spanner
2 - plastic handle bar grips
Start by assembling the handles.
This job can be a bit awkward. If you are having problems find someone to help you.
Lay the four handle tubes on the ground exactly as they should be when assembled. Make sure the bent pieces are facing the right way (out to the side and both handles up).
The two inserts slip inside the tubes, stabilising the upper and lower parts as a single unit.
Position the first of the two rectangular handle brackets behind the handles.
Adjust the position of the first handle until the holes on the handle and bracket line up.
Insert two of the 6x35 mm bolts through the holes. (LHS in this example)
Place the second rectangular handle bracket on top of the bolts.
Put on a small washer followed by a nyloc nut but do not tighten the nuts at this stage.
If the bottom half of the second handle is not inside the handle bracked insert it next then push in the top half ensuring that the alignment is correct and that the insert is in place.
Carefully align the holes in the handle with the holes in the handle bracket so that the bolts can be inserted.
Attach washers and remaining nyloc nuts again without fully tightening.
The handles have to be a bit flexible so that they can be positioned on the chassis.
Both of the forks have two holes on one end, three on the other.
Attach the wheel to the ends with three holes, inserting the axles through the central holes and loosely securing the forks with the axle nuts.
Both the handles and the forks are bolted to the chassis in two places. (Make sure that the handle bars point down towards the ground.
The handles fit inside the chassis and the forks bolt on the outside.
The central two bolts must go through the handles, chassis and forks.
The stirrup hoe bolts into either one of the central chassis holes.
At this stage start to tighten the chassis bolts adjusting the position of the bolts in the slotted holes so that the handle bar grips are at hip height and the tool is at the correct angle with the ground.
You may find it necessary to refine the adjustments once you have worked with the wheel hoe in the garden.
Make sure all the nuts and bolts are fully tightened before starting to use your wheel hoe.
The last task is to warm the two handle grips in hot water before pushing them onto the handles.
The wheel hoe is now fully assembled, ready for use.
